Farmer John Curtis offers free Christmas trees to all churches in Warren County and surrounding counties. Starting November 28, 2016, representatives of the church, requesting a tree in writing, are invited to choose from the thousands of trees growing at Perfect Christmas Tree Farm.
This continues a tradition started in the 1960’s when John operated West Side Gardens in Washington, NJ. It is John’s wish that all churches have a real Christmas tree, “…so that congregants experience the glory and majesty that only real trees have. I want as many people as possible to experience this wonderful tradition. I feel blessed I am able to grow trees to give,” he says.
John Curtis is a prize-winning nurseryman. In the past his trees decorated the Governors Mansion, Drumthwacket, in Princeton; The Southern Mansion in Cape May and other historic building in NJ. He is a director of the New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association and past director of the National Christmas Tree Association.
