Grand Opening Weekend
Come to the Perfect Christmas Tree Farm on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 & 19 and help NJ Farmers Against Hunger (FAH) provide fresh fruits and vegetables for Thanksgiving dinner to those in need. The weekend before Thanksgiving, hardworking volunteers are scrambling to fulfill the Thanksgiving Day Distribution, and you can help.
From 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM the farm is open to Choose & Harvest your Christmas tree. Now, there is time to get it up and decorated in time for Thanksgiving for the whole family to enjoy. At the same time, you are helping countless NJ families in need of food this Thanksgiving. Perfect Christmas Tree Farm donates $10.00 to FAH for every tree sold this weekend. Every dollar donated to FAH equals 10 lbs. of food, gleaned from farmer’s fields and distributed by volunteers throughout the state.
Floral designers and professional wreath makers are on hand to assist you in creating a masterpiece wreath for you to Make and Take home. For less than the price of a store-bought wreath, you can create a unique Christmas decoration to place in your home or give as a gift. The $25.00 charge benefits FAH and includes all supplies necessary to make and decorate a 16 inch, fresh evergreen wreath
Mrs. Claus opens her cottage and her heart to children. A long-time favorite at Perfect Christmas Tree Farm, she reads stories, plays with toys and, this time, engages children in a discussion about Thanksgiving. Mrs. Claus excels in making respectful conversation and polite table manners, fun, and games. There are fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy, all at no charge. Donations to FAH ‘Pounds For Pennies’ program are gratefully accepted.
The farm is getting ready for Christmas. Watch wreaths and bows being made. See garland and trees decorated. Take a hayride. Try Laughter Yoga. Come to this free 2-day event designed for all to enjoy. Perfect Christmas Tree Farm is dog-friendly.
John & Cynthia Curtis, owners of Perfect Christmas Tree Farm, raise money for FAH year round. Cynthia says, “Although we don’t grow food, we can help.” In addition to creating fund-raising community events, photographers who use the farm as a location for their shoots pay FAH, instead of the farm. “FAH is an all-volunteer organization that makes the best use of the money they receive, Cynthia explains. “Not only do they offer fresh produce to those in need they also give learning materials to NJ schools for a ‘learning through gardening’ program that teaches students to grow their own food, make healthier food choices and take better care of our environment. “I am very grateful that we can help FAH,” she states.
Churches in Warren and Hunterdon County can pick-up a free Christmas tree at this 2-day community event. For more details go to www.perfectchristmastree.com or call the farm at 908-387-1225 or Cynthia at 908-763-1945.
We will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, on November 19th and 20th. The address for Perfect Christmas Tree Farm is 999 US H’way 22, Phillipsburg NJ 08865.

Phillipsburg Farm Fair
Saturday, April 30: Earth Day
Sunday, May 1: World Laughter Day
Lopatcong Township, Phillipsburg NJ — Spread good will and friendship with the Funny Farm Laughter Club at Perfect Christmas Tree Farm in Phillipsburg NJ. Celebrate WORLD LAUGHTER DAY, Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 10 AM – 4 PM. Help build a global consciousness of world peace, brotherhood and community.
Take a moment to reflect – how do you feel when you laugh? You feel better. A funny thing happens when you feel better. The world improves. Better still, laughter is contagious. People can catch it from each other and it makes them healthier.
We all have the ability to laugh. Laughter transcends status class, age, race and culture, and no matter where we live in the world we all laugh in a similar way. In any language laughter is a recognizable form of friendly communication. The celebration of WORLD LAUGHTER DAY is a positive manifestation of this phenomenon.
Liberate your laughter and play with laughter professionals from around the tri-state area. Volunteer to laugh for no reason. Express your emotions at the Gibberish Party, in a language no one knows, dance to live music by Keith Kenny, do Kirtan Laughter, power-posing and get a hug from Mother Nature. Watch guinea fowl chicks hatch (say that 10 times fast,) make wildflower Seed Balls. Dr. Duck, baloon-twister, is here.
Created in 1998 by Dr. Madan Kataria, a medical doctor and founder of the modern laughter Yoga movement, today, without commercial advertising, World Laughter Day celebrations happen in the capitals of the world and in cities, big and small. Its aim is to promote the awareness of laughter as a valid form of complementary medicine and as a vehicle to world peace. Laughter sends an enormous signal to unite people, and encourage positive outlooks, healthy bodies and peace in the world.
The Funny Farm Laughter Club’s World Laughter Day is a free event, where all are welcome. There is a $6.00 charge for parking, which benefits a local non-profit. Walk-in and bike-in for free. Come enjoy a full day of goodwill and happiness.
There is also a REUse Farm Fair Market starting at 8 AM. Vendors wanted for Earth Day Celebration, Sat. Apr. 30 and World Laughter Day, May 1. Table fees benefit NJ Farmers Against Hunger. Contact the farmer’s wife, Cynthia Curtis, for more information.
